The Wedding Experience

All the things you need to know on how to get the light, love & laughter throughout your images & how to become one of my #jkcouples

Hello, friend!

Are you here because you are newly engaged or perhaps you are just browsing lovely photos? Either way, I’m glad you made your way to my internet home. Whatever phase you are in your life thank you for stopping by to read about my & my couples! Read below to see more about the process of booking & becoming an official JK Couple!

The Process

Step One

CAN WE BE FRIENDS?

You deserve gorgeous images & just as importantly a beautiful photographic adventure. I don’t believe wedding photography is the same fit for every bride. I know JKP brides are unique & I work very hard to find them! I serve a very specific type of bride that knows she wants energetic, playful & romantic portraits of herself & her new spouse & that she needs more than just lovely images. I want all of my brides to attach a feeling to their pictures & remember their entire wedding day experience. Because of this, I love sending in depth emails & questionnaires with each bride or couple to ensure we are the perfect fit for one another.

Step Two

LETS MAKE IT OFFICIAL!

WooHoo! You were meant to be a JK Couple! Now, let’s make sure we get everything secured! From here, I’ll send you a formal quote that outlines your wedding day in much more detail. You’ll be able to sign your contact & pay your retainer all electronically. Easy Peasy! Let the fun stuff begin…

Step Three

ENGAGEMENTS

It’s time to schedule your engagement session! 8 months before the wedding, I will reach out so that we can schedule your session. The Rose wedding experience includes an engagement session COMPLETELY complimentary! That’s how important I believe they are! Getting your engagements scheduled & shot at least 6 months before the wedding will allow enough time for save the dates to mailed out. After your session you will be featured on the JK blog & your images will be delivered to you via online gallery for you to print & share however you’d like!

Step Four

TIMELINE PREP

About 6 months before the wedding, an email will be sent to you with a list of questions. From your answers, I will be able to create a custom timeline for you based on light & the order of your events. This will ensure that no photographic opportunity goes missed & that you get those glowy images we all know & love so much! If you would like to make changes to your timeline will discuss everything in detail during the final consult, one month before your wedding.

Step Five

IT’S YOUR WEDDING DAY!

Finally! It’s here! You can celebrate while I get to work! I love telling my couples entire wedding day story & I never shoot less than 8 hours. Sometimes for certain religious ceremonies that start earlier in the day, an additional hour of coverage is required but usually never more than 9 hours. Your day will be a blur so it is my priority to capture the “mantel shots” as well as giving you creative & unique portraits. My favorite part of the wedding day is portrait time with my newlywed couple & getting to meet all of the wonderful friends & families! After the wedding, you’ll be featured on the JK Blog on the Tuesday following your wedding! I love sharing my weddings while the wedding is still so fresh in everyones mind! Also, allowing my couples to relive their day while they are off on honeymoon bliss!

Step Six

GALLERY DELIVERY + ALBUM DESIGN

After you wedding day is over, you will receive an online gallery full of all of your wedding day images! SO SO many images! I encourage all of my couples to wait to view their gallery together & soak in reliving your day! If you are interested in ordering a legacy album, just let me know & I will get to work creating a gorgeous, custom album full of your beautiful wedding day images!
