Having clients like Lyndsi & Jared a what make my job so wonderful. Lyndsi is like me in the sense that we both like detail & we both like it when things get done when they are supposed to get done. She is also like me in the fact that we are both photographers. When I arrived on the wedding day, it was mentioned that everyone was excited to see who Lyndsi had booked for her wedding day photos. It me! Bring on all the photographer’s wedding days because you KNOW everything is going to be just picture PERFECT! Gah, if only I had been a photographer when I got married…
The weather for the couple’s engagement session was less than perfect. It was hot, sticky & humid. For Lyndsi’s bridals we literally shot two days before the snowpocolypse so it was freezing. I told them that since we had such bad weather for the other shoots, their wedding weather was going to heaven, & it was! The sun was out, there was a light breeze & there wasn’t a cloud in sight. The ceremony was held under the beautiful outdoor pavilion at the Milestone & after a short exchange of words, the couple was wed!
Jared & Lyndsi kicked off their reception with dances & toasts followed by an eventful bouquet & garter toss. Two firsts for me: 1) Jared took off Lyndsi’s garter by rolling out on a mechanic’s creeper. 2) The garter got stuck on a beam on the ceiling & had to be retrieved with a broom. Gave me a pretty good chuckle. There was also a third first at this wedding involving the groomsmen & if anyone saw, I’m sure had a laugh as well.
At the reception, Jared told me before they were even engaged that Lyndsi knew she wanted me as a photographer. He said she creeped me for months before finally reaching out & let me just say, those are my favorite kind of stalkers! Jared & Lyndsi, I loved knowing the two of you during this joyful time in your lives & I hope you enjoy looking through highlights of your big day. Cheers! XOXO
