Morgan & Scott

When Morgan first mentioned she wanted to have her engagement session at the Enchanted Rock State Park, in Fredericksburg, Texas I was super pumped.  I’ve always wanted to explore the area & I loved that Morgan & Scott were excited to get adventurous.  Let me just say, these guys are troopers.  It was HOT.  Like, 100 weather hot.  As we explore the park, we decided to start trying to make our way up to the top of the rock.  I honestly didn’t think I could it…#oldladystatus…but with all of us cheering each other on, we made it!  As we finished our session, Scott pulled out three Shiners for us to enjoy while soaking up the view.  My job fulfills me so much to be able to share moments like this with my #jkcouples.

How did this pair meet? When or how, Morgan laughs. Scott & Morgan have known one another since high school.  Even though going to school in Hallettsville, the pair knew of one another but didn’t run around in the same group of friends. They went off to separate colleges (Morgan -Stephen F. Austin State University & Scott – Texas State) with little contact except through random social media comments on pictures, etc.. (more him than me #winkwink). Roughly 4-5 years ago mutual friends of theirs started getting married & they would see one another, dance, catch up, etc.. One of the things Morgan has always loved about Scott before dating & still to this day is his dancing. They would always find each other at weddings for at least one dance. Some of Morgan’s girlfriends had always told her to give Scott a chance but she just didn’t see him like that…yet. After seeing one another a few times there was one particular weekend where Scott was coming to Houston (where Morgan was living) for a Natural Body Science Museum Exhibit open to the public. After Morgan saw he was interested in the event on Facebook & said he was going – she message him & said she wanted to go! Scott is a Physical Therapy Assistant so anything medical he loves. Next thing you know she’s meeting Scott at this museum & the rest is history. They continued to talk, he continued to visit while Morgan lived in Houston, & then they started going together as a couple to more weddings & now engaged 2.5 years later.  After the proposal on Morgan’s Instagram page she announced they were engaged & she wrote “I knew after 6 months I was going to marry this man…it only took me 7 years to give him a chance…”
