I’ve loved being a part of all of Carlos & Monica’s life milestones. I’ve photographed their most recent pregnancy, to Carlos’s extended family portraits, engagement, bridals & now wedding day. Having a relationships with my couples like this is so important to me & I love knowing everyone & seeing their family dynamic. It makes the wedding day flow in natural fashion & keeps everything organic. Carlos & Monica are some of the most laid back people I’ve had the pleasure of working for. They completely put the trust in their vendors to bring their dream day to life which allowed us all to be the best creative versions of ourselves. It is a privilege when our clients trust us to do the job they hired us for & makes the environment a light & carefree.
The couple decided to have a first look & it was the sweetest! They read letters that the other wrote right before seeing each other & the DJ even set the mood. It was beautiful! Carlos had a special guest arrive that both him & Monica did not think would show. With the COVID-19 pandemic happening, nursing homes have been locked down. However, they had a special lady who was able to break free in enough time to come watch them say their vows. It was incredibly sweet.
Let me just say, these two know how to throw down on a party! With a live band & a DJ who picked up where the band left off, the dance floor stayed packed. Their was even a tradition that happened during the reception where all the guest run under the bride’s dress. Kind of like limbo style, but not really. After the dance, the guys then lift the groom & undress him! It is the bride’s duty to dress him back. Ya’ll. I’ve never seen anything like this before & if you are reading this, comment & tell me what this tradition means & perhaps explain it better than I can! I always enjoy seeing all the traditions each wedding has.
Carlos & Monica, thank you for trusting me with all of the most important moment in both your lives! I hope this blog brings joy to you it what seems to be a world of gloom currently. Enjoy some of my fav moment from your day! XOXO
These two decided to read letters they had written for one another minutes before their first look. Sweetest idea EVER.
Sweet baby Mila! I was crying looking at her looking at her Mom & Dad so sweetly.
