Nunley Wedding

February weddings in Texas are my favorite!  It’s just about the time of year when it’s not too hot & not too cold & the green is finally starting to come back after the short winter.  Now, when you add having your wedding at Beneath the Oaks into the mix, you know it’s just going to be perfect!  Hunter & Melanie were the first couple to say their vows in the newly renovated chapel & it was just beautiful.  The chapel was jam packed with friends & family all showing their support for the happy couple.  Melanie’s brother in law was the officiant for the ceremony & had everyone smiling throughout the service.  With several “friends” TV show references, it was a darling way to the official start of their new life together.  I think the only thing that would of made it more perfect would of been if their two puppers could of been there, but they made sure to include them in their reception decorations.  Just the cutest!

Hunter & Melanie decided to have a first look & I always love hearing bride’s call out to their groom for the first time on a wedding day.  It’s the sweetest!  I hope anytime Melanie calls out “Hey babe!” to Hunter he always turns to her with the same look on his face as he did on this day.  I can’t believe it is my job to be a part of moments like that.  I feel so honored!

Melanie has been a dream to work with & on top of everything.  She’s detail oriented (just like me) so working with her was super easy.  I’ve gotten to know her family over the years after photographing her older sister & by seeing everyone at many weddings I’ve shot.  I’m grateful to be able to work for families like this that trust me, support me & let me do my job to the best of my ability.  Thank you!

Let me just say, these people know how to throw down at a party!  The DJ had the dance floor filled all night & everyone was having a good time.  I know Hunter’s grandparents especially had a good time demonstrating how to properly kiss one another after 41 years!  So fun…& I think Hunter was mortified!

Speaking of fun, I hope you two are having the best time at the Bahamas enjoying the sun!  It’s nasty, cold & raining here & I bet that beach is just lovely.  Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your picture perfect day!  I hope you enjoy this blog post reliving some of my favs from your wedding.  XOXO

This veil was Melanie’s mother’s that she wore at her own wedding.  So special!

I love this picture of Hunter’s Dad heckling his son!
