I’ve been anxiously awaiting Ryan & Erika’s wedding because they officially kick of my wedding season…WOOHOO!!! The day was full of laughter, happy tears & lots & lots of smiles. My cheeks literally hurt after I left & I can only imagine what Erika’s felt like. A smile NEVER left her face!
Their day took place at the unique Tin Spur Ranch which is all things rustic in all the right ways. Their ceremony was held under a beautiful arch that over looks the rolling fields of our beautiful Texas lands. We had several types of weather on their wedding day. That morning, it rained for a good 20 minutes! Followed by clouds, lots of wind until finally all the bright sun. I guess it wouldn’t be Texas if we didn’t have four different types of weather all on the same day!
Ryan & Erika have waited a long time for this day & it was their version of perfect. Ryan was super involved in the whole process & brought lots of unique ideas to their wedding day. During their toasts we learned that Ryan & Erika actually met in the 4th grade! Apparently, Ryan wrote Erika a note & gave it to her asking to be his girlfriend. She said NO. Everyone is cry laughing at this point. Erika said that her Dad would of been too mad if she had a boyfriend in the 4th grade! It’s true but it’s so incredibly adorable that Ryan knew Erika was the one at even such a young age. One of my favorite things to watch on a wedding day is when the bride & groom realize how much their lives have changed & are going to continue to change. For Ryan, it was during their first look as he saw his bride for the first time on their day. For Erika, happy tears were sprinkled through out the day, especially as she hugged family & friends after their ceremony.
I know I say this with every blog post, but it truly is a privilege to be chosen to be the one to experience such happen moments with my #jkcouples. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from this past weekend & congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.! XOXO
