JC & Gabby’s wedding day has been a long time coming, quite literally. The pair have spent the last 11 years of their lives together. They are also one of my couples who were affected severely by hurricane Harvey last year. The original plan was to get married out on Gabby’s parents property, but the storm left it too devastated to be able to. Because of this, they planned to have their wedding the following year, which brings us to this last weekend.
Since Gabby booked so long ago, we’ve had the last two years to get to know one another. Showing up on her wedding day was like showing up to hang out with a friend I’ve known my whole life. Her & JC went above & beyond to make sure that Derrick & I were included & a part of everything. Their families were so inviting & went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of all day. When Gabby arrived, she greeted everyone with giant hugs & a big smile. She handed me a gift that had the sweetest card (I cried), a bottle of wine & a monogramed wine saver. She is seriously so thoughtful.
JC & Gabby’s day was filled with lots of emotional tears. There was not a dry eye in the venue as the pair exchanged their vows. When you have loved someone for so long & you finally get to read the words you wrote for each other, sometimes its hard to contain your feelings. During their vow exchange JC talked about how him & Gabby met in class & he told the story so vividly it was like it happened yesterday. The best part about their story is that they not only get to grow old together, they have gotten to grown up together. At one point during the ceremony, their son shouted “Stop crying, DAD!” to which JC replied “I’m trying, son!” It was the cutest thing ever.
Thank you so much for letting me share this special day with the both of you! I had the best time witnessing the joy you share for one another & I am so blessed I was there to capture that feeling to hang on the walls of your home forever. Enjoy some of my favs from the day! XOXO
