From the get go there has never been anything typical about Sage & Hunter. The pair met at spring break in 2013 & have been inseparable the last five years. Back in November, Hunter thought her & Sage were attending a graduation party for a friend but Sage had really planned a surprise engagement. Of course she said yes!
This wedding was planned somewhat spur of the moment. Sage & Hunter originally wanted to have a big, grand wedding in Colorado but quickly realized many of their loved ones wouldn’t be there. In lieu of an out of state ceremony, the pair decided to host a ‘pop-up’ wedding! They sent out invites to have guests arrive thinking it was a party celebrating Sage & Hunter. When their friends & family showed up, every quickly realized that it was indeed a wedding & all anxiously awaited their arrival! They snuck up to Sendera to watch their guests arrive from the top of the O’Connor building. From there they headed down to a waiting limo that escorted them to the Victoria Junior League which was beautiful decorated with greens & elegant whites. So classy! Side note: I’ve had “Thunderstruck” by ACDC stuck in my head since Friday!
Ok, so everyone knows that I am big ol’ sappy baby & cry at literally every wedding. I decided to step up my game & bawl at this one. There were so many personal touches & thoughtful mementos that I’d wish I’d been so clever to do for my own children when they were baby babies. You’ll see what I am talking about as you scroll through this blog!
Sage & Hunter, ya’ll are total peaches & I am so thankful that I was your photographer at your surprise wedding!!! Best of luck to you in basic training, Sage. You good ol’ boy you! Hunter, I hope you find the most perfect nursing job that fulfills you every single day. Ya’ll two got it going on! Enjoy some of my fav moments from such an exciting day! The bible you see below has been held by 3 generations of women on Hunter’s side of the family! Now that she held it, there are 4 generations. So beautiful!
Hunter’s grandfather wrote her a note for her to read on her wedding day. He also gifted her a pearl necklace the day she was born.
Look at that look of love she is giving him! So sweet!
And cue the water works. Hunter wrote her daddy a letter on fathers day & also gifted him a necklace when she was a little girl. The note said for him to wear the necklace everyday & when the day came that she got married, to give it to that man. So he did. Everyone lost it. There wasn’t anyone who wasn’t crying. It was so incredibly sweet & touching.
Special guest appearance by the one & only Chase Brown!
